» NAME • Morgan Evans
» ALIAS • Morg, or Momo. He prefers Morg, though, because the latter nickname is too cutesy for him to be taken seriously with it. Only people that really know him can get away with calling him that.
» AGE • 21 years, give or take a few days.
» GENDER • Male
» SEXUALITY • Bisexual
|| L O G I N «

» HAIR • Golden blonde, at his best. His hair changes color when he's sick, however. It turns more of a red shade.
» EYES • Aquamarine blue.
» HEIGHT • 5'11
» WEIGHT • 170 pounds or so. He's not too sure of the specifics; he hasn't weighed himself in ages.
» OTHER • If by chance you get a glimpse of his left side, you'll notice it's covered in various tattoos. Starting from his left hand and covering most of his arm and a bit of his torso. Don't ask him why he has them. Really, don't.

» POSITIVE✧ LoyalHe's not one to give up on anyone or any thing, which is great considering he has no problem forming deep attachments to said people or things, making him unlikely to ditch someone who needs him or most often coming to someone's aid at the drop of a hat. You might even say he's tenacious in that regard, but he'll just brush it off and say he's just doin' his thing. It helps that he has the ability to back up this trait of his, but it'll easily descend into stubbornness if there isn't anyone he defers to nearby.
✧ funnyIt depends on who you ask, but Morgan does have a tendency to blurt out whatever is on his mind depending on where he is or who he's with, making people laugh for whatever reason. I guess you could call him a stand-up gu-- wait that was for the trait up top. Although here it counts as a pun. Ha!
✧ energeticEnergetic to the point of being a talking pick-me-up if he comes across anyone down on their luck or about to quit something. He'll provide multiple reasons off the top of his head (but some of them repeat themselves) as to why failure is not an option and lack of trying shouldn't even be a thought. Motivation is contagious-- at least, he makes it that way.
✧ inventiveand perfectly willing to try new things just to try them. He thinks 'outside of the box' in these instances, often taking conventional objects and manipulating them to serve different purposes than what they're intended. If necessary, he'll even take the object apart and put it back together as something different.
✧ impartial... kinda sortaYes, it says kinda sorta. When it comes to settling disputes, Morgan tries to keep it as neutral as he can, and he gives people as fair a chance as he can unless they slighted him in some way, shape or form. If people are in need of help, he'll try helping both... unless one of them is Gabriel. Then that other person is fucked. In fact, anything involving him will end with whoever isn't him being screwed over.
» NEGATIVE✦ impulsiveWhenever Morgan is in trouble or just conflicted, he's real likely to do whatever he feels is convenient if there isn't any other suitable choice, and if there are only two options, he'll make up a third one regardless of whether or not actually following through with it is a good idea. He's going to do it anyway. Why? Because he can.
✦ single-mindedIf there's any one he's particularly attached to (and you're getting hints that there is), he'll have most of his energies focused on anything to do with that person. This could range anywhere from entertaining them, protecting them from harm, following them around, or even hunting them down to beat the holy hell out of them for some reason or another. Hey, we didn't mention those attachments were all positive.
✦ tactlessSimply put, he doesn't have a good grasp on what to say and what not to say which will no doubt come off as offensive to people.
✦ forgetfulIf he's not obsessed about something, it's not in his 'field', meaning it'll fly over his head and he just plain won't pay attention to whatever it was. When he's in this state, it looks like he's running on 'autopilot' and paying just enough attention to know that something is going on in his periphery but not making out the details. He isn't even aware that he isn't paying attention, maybe going so far as to agree to something and then not knowing just what he agreed to and landing himself in trouble when people call him out on it.
✦ twisted sense of humorHe's only funny some of the time. The rest of it is him spending it telling or making jokes that'll amuse him and not the listener/recipient. Including sex jokes. Especially sex jokes.

» ITEMS
• Opened Letter – He carries it tucked in the inner pocket of his jacket. It's a small envelope with a broken seal, and the ink used in the letter is partly faded. Morgan occasionally pulls it out to re-read again, because of the promise contained within.
• Gauntlets & Greaves – pairs of steel-plated arm and shin armor, respectively. The steel plating on the gauntlets cover from elbow to most of the back of the hand, ending in built-in spiked knuckles. Steel mesh is wired on the inside and covers the same area plus the entire hand. The full greaves are surprisingly more decorative, with a gilded gold horse motif throughout and no built-in spikes anywhere.
• Respirator – A half-mask with different settings on the filter. Nothing really special about it.
» POWER
[/ul]
[/size]
• Caustic Venom – This is where Morgan can convert his own spit into acidic venom. The venom is actually harmless when it comes into contact with unbroken skin or inorganic materials, which is why he'll be trying his best to introduce it to an eye or other things such as open cuts... or mouths. If he offers a kiss, don't take it.
Downside: The venom is concentrated, but spit predictably has a small target area. It can't get any bigger unless Morgan tries ingesting a liquid such as water, holding it to mix the poison in, then spitting that out, but whatever he takes in ends up diluting the venom somewhat. Regardless, the burning subsides in three posts.
• Nerve Gas – Inhale: O2. Exhale: freaking nerve gas, rather than regular carbon dioxide. Whoever breathes it in will be bestowed with enhanced senses, increasing them fivefold.
Downside: Wait, what, whoa!? What're you doing? Don't go pulling Morgan all extra close 'cause you got the idea of getting hawk-vision! People aren't naturally used to having their senses scaled up to such a degree, and especially not all at once! More likely than not, the victim ends up with sensory overload. Imagine being able to see every single hair on a person's head down to the follicle with no Zoom Out feature, or hearing your own breathing as loudly as if it were a washing machine, with everything else even louder than that. It's that bad. If you don't end up fainting, you'll probably be tripping the hell out for about five posts.
• Strange Sap – Under stress, extreme heat, or after a good workout, Morgan doesn't sweat like a normal person. Rather than regular watery perspiration, you might see a weird milky sap coming off of his skin. If you just barely missed Morganforcefullyexhaling or spitting on you and want to feel some dreaded symptom or another, stick around when he starts leaking the stuff. If you're tempted to touch him, go ahead. Experience such things as irritation and burning, perhaps even a bad case of convulsions, vomiting, or hallucinations if you actually took the time to lick him. Fucking awesome, man.
Downside: Other than making sex impossible for Momo?~shot~He's not immune to his own power like he (presumably) is with the others. Leaving it on his skin isn't so bad, but if he accidentally takes it in, he ends up suffering the same effects as his victims for five posts.

» FAMILY
• Gabriel – Morgan's older brother by eight years, and probably the only person in the family that Morgan rates a 15 on the 'Give a Shit' meter, whereas their mom and dad hit an 8... on a scale from 1 to 10. Gabe and Morgan shared a friendly sibling rivalry, with Gabe playfully belittling a younger Morgan over his stature, often calling him 'Pipsqueak', 'Shrimp', 'Shortstuff', or the slightly flattering 'Little Man'. Morgan still looked up to him anyway (literally too, not like he had any choice) and tried imitating him regardless of those height jokes, because his brother was just that cool. Then again, with a knowledge of hand-to-hand combat, a willingness to teach it, plus a 'slick' fashion sense, who wouldn't be amazing by Lil Momo's standards? So they pretty much shared the same interests despite being almost a decade apart, but sadly, he left when Morgan was still a pipsqueak, for reasons unknown but... planned, somehow.

» HISTORY •
Therefore, they didn't want Morgan going anywhere near there once he got of age to be making his own way in the world and tried to make it so that he literally would not have known what he was missing. They threw him a bone, at least: if his involvement with the Dream World had a chance of being 'inevitable', they stressed that he go to work at the Base and send some other
The only thing 'Not Average' in Morgan's life was his older brother, who was the very definition of 'freaking cool' with a capital F, C, and an exclamation point. He knew things, y'know? Things like. . . like how to perform takedowns, or use an opponent's momentum against them. He knew how to fight, and it wasn't through some really lame way like watching someone else fight on the television and copying it. No, like, he really threw down. He wasn't scared of any-damn-body, and best of all, he was a Fighter. Morgan wasn't really aware of the details or how Gabe got to find that out, but no doubt it was during some escapade that involved skipping class without his parents' knowledge and traipsing into the Dream World, wandering the lands like all potential experts do. He probably beat something, too-- and what's 'cool' if it's not committing truancy, facing possible battery charges, and getting away with it in the end? If he wasn't Cool, then the word had better change its definition pronto because there was no way he was doing it first!
Brother worship aside, it was a given that Gabriel would try getting Morgan interested in the Dream World by taking him on trips-- sightseeing, at least! If their parents were going to deprive Momo of something amazing, he could at least learn what he was missing or decide on his own if it really was his 'thing' or not. But hey, maybe he could end up with a really cool-with-a-capital-C power too, like his bigger bro. That was definitely a possibility. Morgan was totally up for that, so they kind of snuck away from their home on some otherwise uneventful day --
Morgan woke up back in his house a month later with no clue what happened but damn it if it wasn't awesome! He was sure, something totally amazing went on but it was so much unfiltered coolness that his brain just had to block it out. It was no big deal, though. He just had to find Gabriel and get him to re-tell the story of their no-doubt-exciting adventure. But when he asked his parents where Gabe was, they were tight-lipped about it. Rather, they gave their answer through clenched teeth: "He left."
"Is he coming back soon?"
"No."
"Uh. . . what kind of 'no' is that? like. . . he's not coming today, but he'll be here tomorrow?"
"Just. No."
". . . Okay."
Man that was so average. So average it almost hurt. Morgan wondered what was wrong-- last he checked, everything was fine but it suddenly wasn't. He checked his brother's room; perhaps Gabe was performing some elaborate prank and got his parents to grudgingly play along?
He found his brother's pairs of gauntlets and greaves in a room that was mostly stripped to its bare essentials of a bed and dresser. Everything else was gone except the armor and furniture. That, and a letter, written in Gabriel's typical rushed and ungrammatical fashion.
Hey you.
You're reading this, it means I'm probably long gone. I hope so, even if it means I can't see if you're okay or not. Sorry about that. Sorry about this too, by the way. The whole leaving thing. It was kinda necessary though cuz I'm not welcome here anymore and yadda yadda
Listen
I just left you my most prized possessions. Take good care of em. It'll take you a while to grow into em though. Maybe forever and a half at your rate. Haha.
Anyway you're probably wondering where I went to. Its not important. Don't bother asking anybody else cuz they don't have the answer either. And don't try looking for me. NO REALLY. I MEAN IT. Don't try it until you've grown into those gauntlets and stuff, because that's when you'll be ready, and you'll just know.
Maybe when the time comes you end up being at least half as awesome as me. HAHA.
til next time, little man.Better Than You,
Gabriel
That was a better indicator than any that his brother was out on an adventure being 'Freaking Cool!' and Cool People knew what they were doing, every time at all times, so it was in Morgan's best interests to do as his brother said and not question his whereabouts.
Rather, he went through life half-heartedly following whatever it was his parents were saying about the state of the world and how bad it was and something else about learning new things. He continued enrolled in the school of Lamir, working on his assignments and barely passing his classes. He had his mind on 'more important' matters, such as honing his skill in hand-to-hand combat, because that's what that armor was for, first and foremost. He pondered taking formal martial arts training, but given the effort he was already taking to hide what he was doing-- bandaging himself to cover some bruises, then getting tattoos over the spots where the bruises were to cover them up further and give his parents something wholly different to spaz about (and maybe even distract them from the various other marks), then opting to wear baggy clothes in general-- spending money on classes was noticeable and spending time near other people was more noticeable still. Besides, awesomeness was self-taught.
Certainly like all cool people are wont to do, when Morgan came of age (nineteen, going by when he could finally wear those gauntlets and greaves), it's like-- his eyes opened. Like the realization of everything and a half dawned on him. But it was quite simple. Gabriel was off being awesome in the Dream World, because the Real one was just too anti-Cool to handle him! It only made sense that Morgan had to follow him in there and prove his own worth, mmhmm.
It took quite a bit of negotiation on his part to convince his parents that he was totally not going into the Dream World to go do anything stupid. They believed him on the simple basis of 'good behavior', letting him go. Of course he went to the Dream World, having latched onto a group of friends that were missing one more person. The missing member flaked out at the last second, so the remainder didn't see what was wrong with adding some normal guy to their group. Since they weren't going in for anything special, they opted not to go through all the formal contract business.
That didn't end too well.
It would have been a lot better for the group if they'd left Morgan behind the first time he complained about the burning sensation in his throat. That would have been the least of their worries. Instead they kept going on their way with the occasional reminder from him that he was getting worse. He felt a crawling sensation all over his skin. He was lightheaded. He had a headache. He was hearing things. There was a strange smell coming from somewhere-- and ohh was that food? Okay, that was much more pleasant!
The youngest guy in the group, the one that identified himself as an Imaginer, he was the first to snap. He spouted off a few choice words to Morgan that of course, the blond didn't take too kindly to.
Morgan's response was to spit in that brat's eye. A second later and everyone else was rushing to rinse the guy's eye out because he was shrieking like a little girl about how much it burned and he was probably going to go blind. Served him right if he did, but regardless, Morgan was no longer welcome in the group.
And that was only the first mishap. Morgan experienced progressively worse mess-ups with each venture until he got the idea that his power was essentially making peoples' lives utter hell by becoming poisonous, which was. . . actually pretty cool, when he put some thought to it. He had the perfect abilities to ward off potential attackers, and only people that were truly as awesome as he was would be able to tolerate his presence! Haha, that was PERFECT!
Now, all that's left to do is go find his brother's whereabouts and challenge him to a good old fashioned fight, with powers! He's well aware that Gabriel has the element of surprise in his favor, but that'll just make the match more exciting.

» SECRETS
• Morgan actually suffered the symptoms of his Toxicity on the first trip to the Dream World when he was younger, with a multitude of side effects hitting him at once and taking him out for close to the entire month. He has no recollection of what happened.
• By coincidence or weird genetic fluke, Morgan and Gabriel look exactly alike. Or at least, they did-- Morgan at his age looks close to the same as Gabriel did at the same age, so depending on how well time's treated Gabe, he and Morgan could be/could have been mistaken for twins. Similar mannerisms wouldn't help that assumption.
• Even worse, they look more like each other than they look like either of their parents, so again depending on how well or how badly Gabriel's aged, it could lead people to a really wrong assumption.
