The whole concept of this site is really well-done .-. Anyway, hey! I'm Athena, and I'm happy I stumbled upon this place ^^ . Unfortunately, I'm a bit pressed for time tonight, but I'm thinking about making a fighter or a navigator soon

Thank you, and welcome to Imaginers! We're happy that you're happy that you stumbled on this place, believe me. ^.^ Happy members make for a good site!
Be sure to read the important threads when making your character, but if you happen to have unanswered questions about the setting and whatnot, feel free to ask in the Cbox! The members are friendly and happy to help. even if they're new, haha
Now you go and get stuff done, and come back when you can! <3

Thanks guys ^^ . And don't worry, Bjonn, mine was shorter .-.
In any case, I did read through most of the rules a few days ago. I still do have a few questions, though ^^
1) Just so I'm clear, powers only work in the Dream World, even for Nightmares, right?
2) How is the Real World governed?
3) How are Nightmares formed?
4) Is a character's 'Type' flexible, or does it have to be completely rigid? (If an offensive character manipulates stone, does that mean they can't throw up a wall with the amount they can handle?)

Ooh, ooh! -jumps up and down- Pick me, pick me! ...Uhm, uhm, uhm...
1. Yes! Powers only work in the Dream World because of that place's special properties. If they worked in the real world, then... <------ Morgan would accidentally be slipping poison into his drinks like a derp. As far as I know, that shouldn't happen.
2. Pass. .____. Someone else can answer it better than I can.
3. IIRC it says that Nightmares are formed by "unknown means" but the general consensus is "An Imaginer Did It". They're the only ones with the power to really create anything (unless another Nightmare has the power as well, I guess?), so Nightmares are formed by someone imagining them with a basic concept/emotion behind them. Doesn't matter if it's one person creating that Nightmare or a thousand.
4. I'm not quite sure if it can change, but I'll tell you what you can do!
If an Offensive character can manipulate stone, that doesn't stop them from giving normally 'defensive' abilities some way of hurting an opponent. A stone manipulator can throw up a wall, yes. They can also have that stone wall jut out of another wall (or at an angle from the ground) and ram into someone. Or they could use the wall and topple something over to land on that someone. ^^
But just to be sure, you can make your character's Type 'Neutral' to cover all of the bases.
Did that help?
